Biografie

Graceful and elegant. Exotic and muscular. These adjectives can be just as easily utilized to describe Moonbeamunique style of electronic dance music (EDM) as they can be used to describe the artists, brothers Pavel and Vitaly Khvaleev. Hailing from Russia and forging the amazingly successful Moonbeamalias in 2003, the act has had an impressive run of more than 177 releases, including original productions, remixes and three full-length studio albums. Additionally, the video and graphics arm of Moonbeam's creative organization has produced as many as 18 commercial-grade music videos. The Secret is Moonbeam's third and latest full-length studio album, released in November of 2011. It's no wonder that, for the third year in-a-row, Moonbeamplaced on the venerable DJ Magazine "Top 100 DJs" poll in 2011, quite an accomplishment considering the tens-of-thousands of DJs around the world vying for a slot.

Creative path of the Khvaleev brothers

The founders of the most successful project in the history of Russian trance music are Vitalik and Pasha Khvaleevs.

In 2006, Moonbeam loudly announced themselves on the world stage by working with the label International DeejayGigolo Records. For the release of "PAK & VAK - Vision".

In 2007, a number of contracts were signed with the world's largest labels. And in the summer, DJ Tiestoincluded “See the differenceInside” in his most popular collection, “In Search of Sunrise 6”. After which the works of Moonbeam fell into several other collections with a worldwide reputation.

In 2008, the active growth of the team continues. Their tracks walk on the best compilations: MarkusSchulz - Amsterdam08, High Contrastpresent... Rank 1, Ibiza TranceHouse 2008 and Tiesto - Traum100. In March, Moonbeam showed up at two large-scale parties at the WinterMusicConference in Miami.

Hi Moonbeam, thanks for joining us. What is your current mood and what was the last piece of music you listened to?

Hi there! I'm feeling great, just got back from a Thai boxing training session and scouting new releases for my New Moon podcast. Right now, I'm listening to the track "Tal" by pølaroit - I think it would make an excellent opening track for my next episode of podcast.

How has your spring been so far and what are your plans for the coming week?

I have amazing spring full of travel and adventure! Over the past two months, I visited Goa, Vietnam, Bali, and Thailand, and even tried diving for the first time on Flores Island in Indonesia. I also got to see Eric Prydz perform in Bangkok and have plans to attend a Sasha gig in Bangkok and travel to Hong Kong on the coming weekend.
