Biography

Actor Cliff Simon was a part of one of the more popular sci-fi television series of the late 1990s/early 2000s, "Stargate SG-1." Simon (who is of Polish and Lithuanian decent) initially expressed interest in pursuing an athletic career--specifically, as a swimmer and gymnast. He moved from South Africa to England, and then back to South Africa again, where he served in the air force. While working at a hotel resort, a stage show production needed a gymnast to help with choreography; Simon assisted, and discovered his true calling. His first professional acting gig was playing the role of Gregory Mitchell on the television series "Egoli: Place of Gold," which would last from 1992 through 1999. Shortly after the dawn of the 21st century, Simon received his best known role, as Ba'al, on "Stargate SG-1," and appeared in various episodes from 2001 through 2007. Additionally, Simon has made brief appearances on other shows over the years ("Nash Bridges," "24," etc.). Cliff Simo
