2006 – present: President and General Counsel (1997 – 2005: Vice President and General Counsel).  Writing, research, editing, and speaking (including legislative drafting, amicus briefs, and administrative complaints, as well as congressional testimony, radio, and television) on legal issues raised by the civil rights laws; monthly columnist for the Legal Times and contributing editor at National Review Online.  The Center for Equal Opportunity is a conservative 501(c)(3) think tank that concentrates on civil rights, immigration, and bilingual education issues.

1993  – 1997:  Vice President, General Counsel, and Assistant Treasurer.  Writer and editor of conservative legal publications on issues of interest to business, including monthly newsletter, annual law review, white papers, and monographs.  Assisted in organizing conferences, fund-raising, and administration of this 501(c)(3) educational organization.

Roger Clegg is the President and General Counsel of the Center for Equal Opportunity. Prior to joining the CEO Clegg served in a variety of capacities within both the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations, including a position as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in both adminsistrations, Assistant to the Solicitor General, Associate Deputy Attorney General and Acting Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Policy. He is a graduate of Rice University and Yale University.

Roger James Clegg (born 4 December 1948) is a former Ireland rugby union international from Northern Ireland.

Clegg was a tighthead prop from Bangor, County Down. He attended Bangor Grammar School and played his rugby for Bangor RFC.[1] Between 1973 and 1975, Clegg gained five international caps for Ireland, all in the Five Nations Championship.[2] He was on the 1976 Ireland tour of Oceania and later served as captain of Ulster.[3]
