Lord Tariq and Peter Gunz were an American hip hop duo, composed of rappers Sean "Lord Tariq" Hamilton and Peter "Peter Gunz" Pankey, from The Bronx, New York.[1] They are best known for their 1997 single "Deja Vu (Uptown Baby)", which reached the top ten on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Career

Initially performing as The Gunrunners, the duo made their debut on Whodini's 1996 album Six, on which they featured on the track "Can't Get Enough" and assisted in the writing of two other tracks. Peter Gunz collaborated with Shaquille O'Neal on the latter's albums You Can't Stop the Reign (1996) and Respect (1998), in addition to the single "Men of Steel" from O'Neal's film Steel (1997). Lord Tariq worked with Jay-Z and Nas on the 1996 single "Analyze This" and featured on rapper Cuban Link's posse cut "Men of Business" which also featured N.O.R.E., Kool G Rap and M.O.P.

Peter Gunz, who now goes by his real name Peter Pankey, is the official host of Cheaters. Social media users found it ironic that Pankey signed on to help distressed spouses find out if they were being cheated on when during his time on Love & Hip Hop he was busted for cheating.

Peter Cory Pankey, Jr. (born June 22, 1987), better known by his stage name Cory Gunz, is an American rapper from the Bronx, New York City.[1] He is best known for his guest appearance on Lil Wayne's 2010 single "6 Foot 7 Foot," which peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and received septuple platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He signed with Wayne's Young Money Entertainment, a then-imprint of Cash Money and Universal Republic Records in August of that year, although he has released no major albums with the label as a solo act.[2] He starred and was the subject of the 2011 documentary series Son of a Gun, which was presented by his mentor, American comedian Nick Cannon.[3][4]
