Dahlan Iskan (born August 17, 1951 in Magetan, East Java) is the CEO of Jawa Pos newspaper and Jawa Pos News Network. He has also served as the Director of PLN (the state electricity company) and as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises. Iskan turned Jawa Pos from a struggling newspaper with circulation of 6,000 to a media conglomerate with over 80 publications and 40 printing networks across Indonesia. He has authored books on his experience undergoing a liver transplant and turning around struggling organizations.
