Francisco liriano career earnings

Francisco Liriano Biography

Francisco Liriano has had plenty of highs and lows in his major league career.  Liriano has won both the American League and National League Comeback Player of the Year Awards for his ability to overcome adversity.  He experienced several trying seasons on the mound before capturing the NL version of the award in 2013.  Liriano had his best season, going 16-8 with a 3.02 ERA and 163 strikeouts in 161 innings.  The Pirates went to the playoffs for the first time in 21 years with him frontlining the staff.  Following Tommy John surgery, Liriano had a similar comeback with the Minnesota Twins.  It took him two years to fully rebound from the injury as he went 14-10 with a 3.62 ERA in 2010.  Liriano was one of the most hyped pitchers in recent years when he reached the Minnesota staff in 2006.  He went 12-3 with a 2.19 ERA and made his only All-Star team.  Liriano originally signed with the San Francisco Giants out of the Dominican Republic in 2000.
